Time to meet more of our Playgarden Prep teachers! With now three Montessori preschool locations across Manhattan, as well as online Zoom classes, our teachers are the people who bring enthusiasm and compassion to our preschool and enrichment classes and make Playgarden one of the best preschools in NYC. I asked some of our teachers about this past school year and what they are looking forward to doing this summer!

What do you teach at Playgarden Prep?
I am the Education Director and Lead Teacher of the Orange Class (3 years old and up) at the Tribeca preschool.
What is your favorite part of your day at Playgarden Prep?
My favorite part is the first block of the day where we come together as a class and chat about our interests, weekends, future plans, etc. before we jump into our lesson.
Do you have a favorite Playgarden Song to sing with your students?
I love singing Good Morning and counting in English and Spanish.
Do you have a favorite memory from this school year?
My favorite memories are all of the times we had families join us in the classroom, and seeing the happiness the children and families experience by being in school together.
What is your favorite summer activity?
I love talking and walking with my daughter and seeing beautiful views along the way.

What do you teach at Playgarden Prep?
I am the assistant teacher for the Green Class (2 years) at the Tribeca preschool during the school year, as well as a teacher for camp!
What is your favorite part of your day at Playgarden Prep?
My favorite part of the day is getting to greet the children at drop off. They remind me what a joy it is to come to work every day and why this is my passion.
Do you have a favorite Playgarden Song to sing with your students?
I love singing Down by the Bay!
Do you have a favorite memory from this school year?
Getting to become a part of Playgarden Prep! This one memory has unlocked so many unforgettable experiences for me. I’m extremely grateful.
What is your favorite summer activity?
My favorite summer activity is going to the beach and having barbecues with friends and family.

What do you teach at Playgarden Prep?
I teach Play Music, Early Learning, and Movement, along with Live Zoom classes for our Online Preschool.
What is your favorite part of your day at Playgarden Prep?
My favorite part of the day is giving the little ones a stamp at the end of class! They’re always so proud to show it off to their grown-ups after, and it’s a great way to celebrate an awesome day of learning!
Do you have a favorite Playgarden Song to sing with your students?
My favorite song is Zoom Zoom Zoom (the astronaut song!) We have a lot of fun with it. 🙂
Do you have a favorite memory from this school year?
This is tricky because there are so many to choose from! One memory from the 2023-2024 school year that comes to mind was watching the little ones in my Movement class share a baseball bat very nicely, and take turns on their own! It was so sweet to see everything we’ve been teaching them about sharing/community come to life right before my eyes.
What is your favorite summer activity?
My favorite summer activity is going camping with my friends!

What do you teach at Playgarden Prep?
I teach Enrichment and Zoom Classes, and sometimes help out in Camp and Prep!
What is your favorite part of your day at Playgarden Prep?
When I get to sing with my students. It’s so rewarding to see the little ones retain what they’ve learned in class and joyfully belt out a tune.
Do you have a favorite Playgarden Song to sing with your students?
My favorite song to sing with my students is Baby Beluga, a classic!
Do you have a favorite memory from this school year?
Watching the 2024 Playgarden grads walk across the stage to get their diplomas was so special. We are so proud of them!
What is your favorite summer activity?
I love reading a good book at the beach.
